Debate on July 12th - Everything old is new again.
Hello everyone,Thanks to everyone who showed up to the German Quickie, you have done Waterloo proud. For those of you who missed out, Waterloo dominated the tournament. We comprised more than half of the tournament, and proved the validity of statistics by winning more than half of the podium spots. This week, we will just be having meetings.Everyone should come out, and give awesome debate speeches. I am confident that we can repeat our performance at Novice, and dominate the finals again. We just need you guys to come out and practice. Meetings are still at 5:15, Tuesday and Wednesday, in RCH 306.-Alex

-Alex Debate on June 21st - German Quickie, I don't understand Mailing lists
Hello all,This email will get to nobody before the meeting, but I will send it regardless.Meetings remain at 5:15 in RCH 306, on both Tuesday and Wednesday. They are lengthy, don't be afraid to be late. The exciting news of the week is that the German Quickie has been scheduled. On July 9th,
At York University, for $5, There will be 3 rounds of style debate, in a crazy format, followed by a big party. If there are enough people who want to, we can ...maybe... use our feds discount to get a rental van and split the cost across whoever is going.Reg will be $5 if you get yourself there, Greyhound, carpooling, or hitchhiking. A bit more if you want in on a rental van, precise costs coming soon. The tournament is always awesome and relaxed, the only problem is that Waterloo has never won. This needs to change! Also, I don't understand mailing lists. Is anybody getting this via posterous? Because I don't think that worked. -Alex Debate as of June 5th 2011
Hello Everyone,Apparently our mailing list is not working at all. Tell me if you get two of this email.Very little has changed of late.Meetings are still Tuesday & Wednesday at 5:15.Wednesday meetings run late, for people who have class . Also, we need posters. Anybody with an artistic bone in their body should try to make a poster. You will be competing with this

Debate Forth!Meeting TimesSo, I was gonna change meeting times around, to better match people's schedules, but almost nobody indicated when they were available.Everybody needs to go to http://whenisgood.net/qx3td4a so that I know when to set them. In the mean time, meetings will remain the same.5:15 on Tuesday,
5:15 on Wednesday, In RCH 306EquityIn other news, our Equity Officer for the term will be the always levelheaded, Michelle Wu. If anything about the club atmosphere makes you uncomfortable, and you don't want to talk to the Exec about it, you should go to her. She is really nice. Exec MeetingToday ( Tuesday, yes, I know this email is late ), after our meeting, we will have an exec meeting of sorts. We will be planning out a bunch of things for the rest of the term, and everybody with opinions should show up. Being on the executive really only means that we are *obligated* to be there, not that our opinions matter more than anybody else. We will be going over DDT, seeing how to do it better next year. Talking about events to run this term, talking about our training plans, as well as anything else that comes up. Over and out-Alex UW Debate - DDT Survivors, Equity
Sorry about the late email. Luckily meeting times this week remain the sameWe will change them up next week, and I will send out an email later this week about that.Until then, we are still on for Tuesday and Wednesday, at 5:15, in RCH 306 Thanks to everyone who showed up and helped with DDT this weekend. It went quite well, and we managed to have panels in every room thanks to you guys. This happens every year, so stick around if you want to see it all again. The only other important thing to note for this week is the Equity Officer. By the end of this week we will need to close applications to be this term's equity officer, so if you are interested, apply in some way before then. Thanks
